The Prime Minister visited Nyabihu District PDF Print E-mail

On 17th September 2009, Prime Minister Bernard MAKUZA visited NYABIHU District. This is the Prime Minister’s second visit to the area following his earlier one on 15 and 16 July 2009, on which occasion he had promised the area residents to return later for further contact after he was made to shorten his visit and cancel his Rambura’s meeting the local population.

On this 17th September, the Prime Minister joined the area residents in community works of building class rooms within an extraordinary national programme to increase the number of class rooms all over the country. At these works which were massively attended by people ground was levelled to build nine class rooms in all as well as stone collecting.

The Prime Minister commended the residents for their unrelenting commitment to community works so early started in big numbers and joyfully done to serve as an example to emulate by other areas’ residents.

He called on them to keep that spirit towards other Government Programmes as well, as contained in their local greeting which say: ”We were duly informed, We shall do it because where there is a will, there is a way! ”.
