On 11th February 2010, the Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo Mr. Norbert Nkulu KILOMBO carried out a courtesy call to the Prime Minister. The conversation of two parties put emphasis on the following: Both parties have appreciated the re-opening of the Embassies in two countries without any facilitator. The Mixed Commission has started to tackle some issues between two countries. This experience shows that Africans can resolve their problems themselves. The DRC representative confirmed that he came to implement what the Heads of two countries decided in their last meeting at Goma in August 2009. The Ambassador revealed that DRC is committed to reinstitute the security in the East of Congo by fighting all negative forces, especially the elements of “FDLR”. Both countries appreciated the bilateral relation through Regional Integration Community “CEPGL”, by joint exploitation of Methane Gas in Lake Kivu. The Prime Minister reiterated the commitment of the Government of Rwanda to continue improving its relation with DRC and assured the Envoy that the Government will facilitate him to accomplish his diplomatic mission. |
