Prime Minister Bernard MAKUZA met Lord David Sainsbury PDF Print E-mail

Friday, May 21, 2010, as part of his role of coordinating and overseeing delivery of Government programmes, The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister, Bernard MAKUZA visited different projects in Gasabo and Kicukiro districts of Kigali City. Projects visited were IRST Biodiesel production project in Nyandungu Sector, Masaka Polyclinic construction site, Kigali Industrial Park (KIP) and Free Trade Zone (FTZ). The Prime Minister, further made a stopover at Inyange Industries as part of Government’s continued effort to promote private investments. He commended IRST and Inyange industries for technology used and asked them to support farmers add value to agriculture produce. The Director General of IRST said that home-made biodiesel would reduce dependency on imported fuel and reducing carbon emission by 48%. The Prime Minister asked concerned institutions to make sure that KIP and FTZ required infrastructure is in place by November 2010 as planned.
