On 10th March, 2010 the Right Honourable Prime Minister Bernard MAKUZA chaired the ceremony of presentation of Districts performance contracts in Western Province for two quarters (July 2009 – February 2010). He was accompanied with high ranked officials. Western Province has made significant achievement in the following areas:- 76% of the properties that were destroyed by the Earthquake have been rehabilitated; - 80% of the total population is ensured to “Mutuelle de Santé” - 70/96 Sectors have implemented decisions of Gacaca cases. The overall achievement was as follow: - Nyamasheke : 84% - Rutsiro : 82% - Karongi and Rusizi : 80.5% - Ngororero: 79 % - Rubavu : 76 % - Nyabihu : 75% |
