On 09 June 2010, Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Bernard Makuza received British former Prime Minister, Tony Blair, at his office in Kimihurura. Their discussions mainly focused on the support offered to the Office of the Prime Minister and how it has been utilized in boosting capacity.

The Prime Minister commended Blair and his team for not only embarking on capacity building but also playing a key role in follow-up and evaluation of achievements in various sectors such as education, agriculture and health, among others. The Prime Minister noted that a lot more still needs to be done, but affirmed that with such support and good collaboration, there will be greater achievements in the near future.
