Public transport tariffs has to be decreased because of the recent decrease of fuel price from 1000frws to 940 frw per litre, this was decided in a meeting chaired by the Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Pierre Damien HABUMUREMYI on 24th, 01, 2012
The price for Public transport was on 20frws per kilometer and was reduced to 19 frw per kilometer as RURA (Rwanda Utilities and Regulatory Agency) has calculated basing on the interest of both sides Public Transporters and the population.
This was due to the current reduction of fuel cost which was on 1000frw to 940frw per litre on market as the Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced recently.
The meeting decided that the decision is taking effect on 25th, 04, 2012 and everyone concerned has to respect it.
