The Office of the Government Spokesperson, established by Prime Minister’s Order Nº 78/03 of 12/08/2011, has a general mission of coordinating an efficient and proactive government communication system in order to disseminate success story and promote the good image of Rwanda.
The Office of the Government Spokesperson has a specific responsibility of developing and disseminating the Government Communication Strategies through policies, strategies, plans and programs to improve the quality of Government communication as well as developing efficient communication channels and tools.
The Office of the Government Spokesperson has also the role of monitoring the implementation of Government communication policies as well as coordinating communication programs within Government institutions.
