Prime Minister chaired the Auditor General’s Annual Report Meeting

On 05th July, 2012, Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Dr. Pierre Damien HABUMUREMYI chaired a meeting on the 2011 Auditor General Report, where he urged everyone to implement recommendations given by the Auditor General’s Office and have a clean audit report for next year.

He also called upon the Ministry of Public Service and Labour to sanction those employees who make sheer work errors especially those involved in accounting and finance work.

As presented by the Auditor General, the yearly audit report improved from 5% last year to 11% today and Ministries like Minagri, Minecofin, Minirena and 8 projects have made clean their audit reports, this year.

The Premier commended the institutional Chief Accounting Managers to follow up their work on daily basis so as to avoid cumulated negligence errors.

He also called on other leaders to enhance their commitment for a clean audit report by the next year.

The meeting was attended by Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, the Kigali City Mayor, Governors and Director Generals of various public institutions in Rwanda.
