The Office of the Prime Minister has the general responsibility of coordinating government action and monitoring the implementation of Government policies and programs.
Responsibilities and powers of the Prime Minister
The Prime Minister has responsibilities and powers to:
Lead the functioning of Government in accordance with guidelines given by the President of the Republic and ensure the implementation of laws;
Formulate Government programmes in consultation with other Cabinet members;
Carry out any other functions/duty as may be assigned to him/her by the President of the Republic or as may be conferred on him/her by the Constitution of the Republic of Rwanda and other laws.
