Prime Minister attended the 23rd Ordinary Summit of East African Community Heads of State
Arusha, November 24, 2023---On behalf of President Paul Kagame, Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente attended the 23rd Ordinary Summit of East African Community Heads of State.
This Summit took place at the Ngurudoto Mountain Lodge in Arusha, Tanzania and was preceded by a High-Level Forum on Climate Change and Food Security.
During this high-level side event, Prime Minister reiterated Rwanda’s commitment to harnessing climate-resilient agriculture and supporting the region in addressing the adverse impacts of Climate Change and Food Security.
On November 24, the Premier joined EAC Heads of State for their 23rd Ordinary Summit and delivered a statement on behalf of President Kagame.
In his statement, Prime Minister appreciated the East African Community Heads of State for their continued efforts in preserving peace, security, and stability in the region.
He also expressed Rwanda’s commitment to partnering with other EAC member States in finding a suitable, sustainable source of funding for the EAC’s projects and programs.
