Prime Minister inaugurated the Inyange Industries’ Milk Powder Plant
Nyagatare, July 24, 2024--- On behalf of President Paul Kagame, Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente inaugurated the Inyange Industries’ Milk Powder Plant in Nyagatare District.
While addressing participants in this ceremony, after touring the plant, Prime Minister congratulated Inyange Industries for this important milestone in dairy industry development.
The Premier also thanked all livestock farmers and encouraged them to increase milk production.
He also highlighted the importance of this plant in promoting the dairy sector, while providing a ready market for milk, scaling up the creation of job opportunities and improving the livelihoods of livestock farmers.
Prime Minister pledged continued government support for dairy farmers and also urged them to actively leverage the government-subsidized livestock insurance.
He also called upon farmers to embrace zero grazing by allocating a big portion of their pastureland for fodder growing in order to increase milk production and ensuring efficient use of our land.
