“Innovation is key to the development of Africa” PM Ngirente says

Innovation is the key element to resolving development challenges that the African Continent is still facing.
The Premier made this call on this 6th June 2018 while officially opening the 2nd Africa Innovation Summit that took place in the Kigali Convention Centre.
To overcome innovation challenges, Africa “must innovate. We must build robust ecosystems for innovation. Innovation is increasingly seen in today’s world as the means to achieving the long held goal of structural transformation and socio-economic development on the continent”, Prime Minister said.
In order to make innovation a reality, he further advised African countries to build a culture of innovation and make it a way of life.
This second Innovation Summit themed: “Addressing Africa’s Challenges” was organized by Ihaba, a business development organisation based in Cabo Verde and its partners.
The summit has brought together participants from Governments, CEOs of established companies and founders of start-ups, innovators, thinkers, and entrepreneurs, researchers and academics from the African continent.
