PM Ngirente Receives Dr.Shinichi Kitaoka, President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
Kigali, July 19, 2019:
The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente has today received, in his office, Dr. Shinichi Kitaoka, President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, who is in Rwanda for a three-day visit to mark the 10th anniversary of JICA engagement in the country.
Their discussions focused on development projects sponsored by JICA in various sectors such as education, technology, agriculture, infrastructure, water and sanitation.
They also discussed on the upcoming Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) Summit that will take place in Yokohama, Japan in August 2019. His Excellency Paul Kagame, the President of the Republic of Rwanda will participate in this Summit which will also discuss the promotion of nutrition.
The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister and the President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency commended the bilateral cooperation between the two countries and also agreed to further strengthening it.
