PM NGIRENTE JOINED STAFF TO COMMEMORATE THE 1994 GENOCIDE AGAINST THE TUTSI
Kigali, June 30, 2022- Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente joined staff from the Office of the Prime Minister, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Infrastructure and Rwanda Law Reform Commission, to commemorate the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
This event took place at the Administrative Office Complex (AOC) which serves as the premises for the Office of the Prime Minister and the above mentioned Ministries. It was attended by families of the victims as well as other guests.
The commemoration was also marked by laying wreath on the memorial site, testimony, and lighting the flame of hope, among other things.
In his remarks, the Prime Minister stated that this commemoration is an occasion to honor civil servants who were victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
He added that it is also a good opportunity to show solidarity to the families of victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi.
He called upon Genocide survivors, civil servants and Rwandans to continue sustaining the development of our Country by ensuring that Rwanda is free of conflict or genocide.
