PM Ngirente receives American investors to explore investment opportunities in Rwanda

Kigali, March 16, 2019:

The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente has today received, in his office, group of American investors that was led by Mr. Glenn J. Krevlin and Mr. Warren B. Kanders who are exploring  some investment opportunities. The group was accompanied by Mr. Marc Holtzman, who is the chairman of Bank of Kigali,
  
Their discussions were mainly on different opportunities for investors that Rwanda offers, especially in agricultural projects and manufacturing. The Rwandan Premier thanked them for their interest in investing in Rwanda, and reassured them that Rwanda has a very conducive business environment to any potential investment. 

The visitors informed the Prime Minister  that in general they were impressed by Rwanda's quick development, particularly in terms of property rights, infrastructure and rule of law, which are the key prerequisites for investment.

Prior to meeting the Prime Minister, the visiting group has held discussions with Rwanda Development Board and the National Agricultural Export Development Board. It also visited some factories including those located in Kigali Special Economic Zone to identify the gaps in the industry that can translate into potential opportunities and further went for sight-seeing in Volcano National Park. 

Mr. Glenn J. Krevlin, is the founder of Glenhill Capital a New York hedge fund and Mr. Warren B. Kanders is the majority owner & CEO of Safariland LLC.

In the audience,  the Premier was together with Ms. Marie Solange Kayisire, the Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister in charge of Cabinet Affairs, Mr. Emmanuel Hategeka the Deputy CEO of Rwanda Development Board, and Amb. William Kayonga, CEO of National Agricultural Export Development Board.
