PM Ngirente receives Mr. Rémy Rioux, CEO of the Agence Française de Développement (AFD)

The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister, Dr. Ngirente Edouard received in audience Mr. Rémy Rioux, CEO of the Agence Française de Développement (AFD).
Their discussions focused on how partnership with Agence Française de Développement can be renewed and accelerated. Mr. Rémy Rioux and his delegation were informed about the country's priorities in the National Strategy Transformation. They also discussed on Francophonie as well as on investment opportunities in Rwanda in various areas such as agriculture, infrastructure and financial sector.
Mr. Rémy Rioux appreciated the government plans and insisted that the aim of the visit was to gain an insight into the Rwanda’s priorities in its transformational journey. He further revealed that the Agence Française de Développement is interested in working with Rwanda to promote the education sector, sport and financial sector. In this regard, a 20-million-euro credit line with the Bank of Kigali to support digital companies and agro-industries has been already signed.
The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Ngirente commended the renewal of partnership with Agence Française de Développement and reiterated the commitment of the Government of Rwanda to further advance this cooperation. He also welcomed investments by Agence Française de Développement in Rwanda.
