Premier Ngirente represents President Kagame at the 59th Burundi Independence Day
Bujumbura, 1st July 2021 - Prime Minister Dr Edouard Ngirente represented President Paul Kagame at the celebration of the 59th Independence Day of the Republic of Burundi.
Prime Minister Ngirente expressed sincere congratulations to the President of Burundi and the people of Burundi on the important occasion of the 59th Independence anniversary of the Republic of Burundi.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Ngirente reiterated Rwanda’s commitment to work with the President of Burundi to strengthen the strategic partnership for the benefit of our two peoples.
“I am convinced that we are both ready to work for the consolidation and promotion of existing relations of friendship and cooperation for the mutual benefit”, Prime Minister Ngirente said.
This is the right time for Burundi and Rwanda to build on our existing foundation of historical and cultural linkages to achieve prosperity and development, the Premier added.
On his arrival at Bujumbura Airport, Prime Minister Ngirente was received by Prosper Bazombanza, the Vice-President of Burundi.
