Primature and its affiliated institutions commemorate Genocide

Kimihurura - 8th June, 2018  Prime Minister, Dr. Edouard Ngirente joined staff of Primature and those of its affilated institutions, Rwanda Utility and Regulatory Agency (RURA) and Gender Monitoring Office (GMO) commemorated the 1994 Genocide perpetrated against the Tutsi. In his statement, the Primier reminded the importance of remembering  genocide. “Remembering genocide against Tutsi helps us to better understand our bad history that led to genocide. This builds us as a country and shapes our our strategies of facing consequences that were left by genocide and helps avoid what ever can lead us to the genocide again”, Prime Minister said. The event was also attended by the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for the Fight against Genocide, Dr, Jeann Damascène Bizimana who explained how the genocide was planned and executed. Before attending the night vigil, Prime Minister Ngirente and Primature staff visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial in Gisozi, to pay respect to victims of the Genocide.
