Prime Minister attended the 3rd graduation ceremony of RICA
Bugesera, September 19, 2025---Prime Minister Dr. Justin Nsengiyumva presided over the third graduation ceremony of the Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture (RICA), in a ceremony held at RICA’s Bugesera campus.
During this ceremony, 83 graduates were awarded Bachelor’s degrees in four specializations, namely crop production systems, animal production systems, food processing systems, and irrigation and mechanisation systems.
In his address, Prime Minister started by congratulating all the graduates for successfully completing their studies.
He insisted that this is a milestone that will certainly give them a strong competitive edge in today’s labour market and economy that heavily relies on agriculture.
The Premier expressed profound gratitude to the founder and Chancellor of RICA, Howard Graham Buffett, for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to advancing agricultural education both in Rwanda and around the world.
Prime Minister called on the graduates to drive the agricultural transformation by applying modern conservation practices and agri-tech innovations.
He encouraged them to serve as agents of change and problem-solvers who create opportunities that transform communities.
He concluded by urging graduates to walk with humility, confidence, and a spirit of service, upholding the values of integrity, responsibility, and excellence.
