Prime Minister Ngirente officiated the commissioning of officer cadets in the Rwanda National Police

Rwamagana, December 13, 2024--- On behalf of President Paul Kagame, Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente, commissioned 635 Officer Cadets to the rank of Assistant Inspector of Police in Rwanda National Police.

This event took place at Police Training School located in Rwamagana District.

In his address, Prime Minister congratulated the newly commissioned officer cadets of the 13th intake and thanked their families for their support.

Prime Minister urged Police officer cadets to always remember their oath of allegiance, and to never compromise the good principles that govern the Rwanda National Police. He also requested them to uphold professionalism, discipline and integrity in their daily duties.

He noted that thanks to the contribution of Rwanda National Police in ensuring security, Rwanda has maintained a stable economic growth over the past 30 years.

He further commended the Rwanda National Police for its good collaboration with the citizens and its active involvement in development activities. 

The Premier also reminded Rwanda National Police to always be at the forefront and ready to prevent crimes including cross-border crimes, drug trafficking and distribution, cybercrime and many others that might threaten our national security.

He thanked the parents and guardians of children who are in the ‘Police of the Future’ program, for giving them the opportunity to attend the valuable courses provided by this Police Training School.

Prime Minister concluded his remarks by reiterating that the Government of Rwanda will continue building RNP capacity and providing them with sufficient and modern equipment for the better fulfillment of their responsibilities.
