Kigali, November 10, 2024- Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente presided over the closing ceremony of the 7th Edition of the YouthConnekt Africa Summit. This ceremony that took place at Kigali Convention Center also marked the end of the 4th edition of Hanga PitchFest. 

In his remarks, Prime Minister commended the contribution of YouthConnekt initiative in connecting African youth to address Africa’s major development issues and accelerate its socio-economic transformation.

He highlighted the importance of equipping African youth with the necessary skills to reach their full potential and play their critical role in driving our continent’s transformation. In this regard, he stressed the need for strategic partnership between all stakeholders to leverage the young people’s skills and innovations.

The Premier also applauded the contribution of Hanga PitchFest in providing opportunities for our youth to showcase innovative solutions to today’s national and global challenges.  

He reiterated the commitment of the Government to promoting youth-led and tech-enabled start-ups and accelerating the growth of the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Prime Minister concluded his remarks by acknowledging all partners for continuous support in ensuring that young people in Africa are empowered and equipped with relevant skills for them to create meaningful impact.
