PRIME MINISTER PRESIDED OVER THE SWEARING-IN CEREMONY OF PRESIDENT, VICE- PRESIDENT AND JUDGES OF MILITARY COURTS
Kigali, December 10, 2024---Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente, presided over the the swearing-in ceremony of Brig. Gen. Patrick KARURETWA, President of the Military High Court; Lt. Col. Charles SUMANYI, Vice-President of the Military High Court; Lt. Col. Gerard MUHIGIRWA, Vice- President of the Military Tribunal; two Judges in the Military High Court Lt. Darcy NDAYISHIMIYE, and Lt. Thérèse MUKASAKINDI; as well as Capt. Moses NDOBA and Lt. Victor KAMANDA, both judges in the Military Court.
After receiving their oaths, Prime Minister wished them all the best in their duties and requested them to always act according to their oath.
He also urged them to uphold diligence, dedication and professionalism in fulfilling their duties.
The Premier reminded them to never use the powers conferred upon them for their own interests but rather for the interests of the country and always strive to ensure the good image of the Rwanda Defence Forces.
He also insisted on discipline as an important value in the fulfillment of their responsibilities as military judges.
Prime Minister concluded by reiterating the commitment of the Government of Rwanda to continue providing all necessary support for them to successfully fulfill their duties.
