Prime Minister presided over the swearing-in ceremony of Prosecutors
Kigali, 14 November 2021- Prime Minister Edouard Ngirente presided over the swearing-in ceremony of 25 prosecutors. These include 4 prosecutors at the intermediate level and 12 at the primary level, all appointed by the Cabinet Meeting of July 29, 2022.
They also include 9 prosecutors governed by contract of employment who were appointed by the High Council of the National Public Prosecution Authority.
Prime Minister requested the prosecutors to always remember and act according to their oath. He urged them to uphold integrity, professionalism and other good Rwandan values while fulfilling their duties.
The Premier called on the prosecutors to use well the powers conferred upon them by avoiding favoritism and fighting against corruption. He also encouraged them to embrace the use of technology for better service delivery.
He concluded his remarks by reminding the sworn-in prosecutors to never abuse the trust placed in them by the Cabinet meeting chaired by President of the Republic.
