“Rwanda and Singapore enjoy good and long-lasting diplomatic relations”, PM Edouard Ngirente

Kigali- June 14th,2018: Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente received in his office, a delegation from Singapore led by Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, the Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies. 
In his statement, the Rwandan Premier emphasized how Rwanda and Singapore maintain good bilateral relations in various areas of cooperation:
“The good relations between Singapore and Rwanda are reflected in different mutual support and cooperation in various fields, either on bilateral level or at international scene. As an example, the Kigali Master Plan that we have today was designed based on experience from your country. In addition, Singapore supports Rwanda in different capacity building projects, advisory services, trade and investment cooperation, aviation and education”, he said.
During this visit, two agreements between the two countries were signed: an agreement on Bilateral Air Service and an Agreement on the Promotion and Protection of Investiments.
Rwanda and Singapore established diplomatic relations on 18th March 2005, and the High Commission of the Republic of Rwanda in Singapore was officially opened in 2008.
