The Prime Minister attends the Africa Investment Forum
Johannesburg 09/11/2018: The Right Honourable Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente is in Johannesburg, South Africa where he is representing H.E Paul Kagame, the President of the Republic of Rwanda in the Africa Investment Forum.
This Forum that started on November 7th,2018 will end on 9 November 2018. It is organised by the African Development Bank.
The Forum is attended by various African Head of States and Governments including His Excellency President Cyril RAMAPHOSA, President of South Africa, who officially opened this Forum.
The Forum aims at encouraging African countries to accelerate investment in Infrastructure, energy, trade as well adopt necessary strategies to facilitate investment in Africa.
During this Forum, Premier Dr. Edouard Ngirente who is accompanied by Hon. Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Uzziel Ndagijimana and officials from the Rwanda Development Board in charge of investment, met investors who are interested in investing in Rwanda and briefed them on some of the strategies adopted by the Government of Rwanda to easy doing Business in Rwanda. He also explained them the benefits of investing in Rwanda especially in the ICT sector.
Key projects that were presented include: The Kigali Innovation City (KIC), Karongi Lakeside Hotel and Gold Resort Project, Affordable Housing construction project and Gabiro Agro Park project.
Some of the investors manifested their interest to invest in Rwanda.
