“To have sustainable development, raise well your children” PM Dr. Ngirente
Kigali, 7th December, 2017 – Any country that wishes its sustainable development must raise well its children.
This was pointed out by Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente while officiating the 12th Nationnal Children’s Council at the Parliamentary building in Kimihurura.
He further called children to obey parents, study hard and aim at upholding patriotism towards the country’s development.
Prime Minister Dr. Ngirente reiterated that the Government of Rwanda is strongly commited to promote and protect children’s rights.
He also called parents and teachers to repect their role in the children’s education.
The annual National Children’s Summit is a consultative forum that brings together children’s delegates from across the country to exchange views and ideas on the issue at hand.
This year’s Children’s Summit was themed “Positive Parenting: Foundation of the Rwanda we want.”
