Umushyikirano2017 to convene on 18-19 December

Kigali, 6 December, 2017 - The 15th National Umushyikirano Council (NUC) will convene at Kigali Convention Centre from 18 to 19 December 2017.
 
This was revealed during a post cabinet press briefing that was held today at Primature, to give details on the resolutions taken from Tuesday’s extraordinary cabinet meeting, chaired by President Kagame at Village Urugwiro.
 
Minister KAYISIRE Marie Solange, Minister in Charge of Cabinet Affairs, said that the NUC will bring together two thousand representatives (2000) comprised of Local Councils, Civil Society and other members of the Rwandan community.

The National Strategy for Transformation, Values for Prosperity and Youth at the Center of Transformation are the topics that will be discussed during this Umushyikirano council.
 
As provided for by the Constitution in its article 140, the National Umushyikirano Council is an annual event chaired by the President of the Republic of Rwanda to debate on issues relating to the state of the nation, functioning of the decentralized structures and national unity.
